Terms & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 2026. This is a starting policy — review it (ideally with proper legal advice) as the business grows.
Tutoring sessions
All sessions are delivered live, one-to-one, over Google Meet at a time agreed in advance between tutor and student (or parent/guardian). Session length and subject are confirmed by email or through the contact form before the first booking.
Pricing
Current hourly rates are listed on the Subjects & Pricing page. Rates may change for future bookings, but any session already booked and confirmed will be honoured at the price agreed at the time.
Cancellations & rescheduling
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a confirmed session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged in full. If the tutor needs to cancel a session, you'll be offered a reschedule at no extra cost.
Flashcard purchases
Flashcard decks are digital products delivered as an Anki export after payment via Stripe. Individual subject decks and the four-deck bundle are priced as shown on the Flashcards page. Because the content is delivered digitally and immediately, once a deck has been downloaded it is non-refundable, except where the product is faulty or materially not as described. This doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
SEND & additional needs
If your child has additional learning needs, please mention this when booking so sessions can be adapted appropriately from the start.
Communication
General enquiries go to info@specialist-tuition.com. Once you're an active client, invoices, scheduling links, homework updates and progress reports are sent from casian@specialist-tuition.com — so you can tell these are genuinely from us.
